Note:  Seems like it has been some time since the Jets last played a hockey game.  They return to practice again at the MTS Centre today in anticipation of their contest with the Oilers tomorrow night.  Should be plenty of injury update news today (Enstrom/Little) so be sure to keep it locked to illegalcurve.com all day and ensure you are following us on twitter @illegalcurve.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  Looking for home cooking.  Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz said it best “There’s no place like home” and the Jets need to figure out a way to put the advantage back in home ice advantage.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Enstrom, Little expected on ice soon.  Jets fans got some terrific news yesterday when the Jets bench boss indicated that the injury to Bryan Little and Tobias Enstrom wasn’t as significant as previously thought and he said both would be at practice today.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets can really compete.  Ted starts his article with the idea of ‘compete’.  Also writes about Bryan Little’s status, the Jets time off and the power surge.

Winnipeg Sun:  Manitobans, Jets prospects invited to World Junior camp.  Ken spoke with all five invitees in his piece.  Exciting times for these Jets prospects as well as for the local boys.

Winnipeg Sun:  Hutchinson lovin’ it.  He has had quite a run and he is only getting better as he continues his development.

Winnipeg Sun:  Maurice greets Jets with hard skate after giving them two days off.  After a few days off it was time to get the squad back into it.  Of course coach Maurice didn’t want to undo all the recovery that his team enjoyed the past few days but he knew he had to put them through some pace.

Sportsnet:  Maurice expects Jets to improve home record.  While it is great to be road warriors and pick up critical points away from home, this team needs to bring that mentality back to the friendly confines of the MTS Centre.

MyToba.ca:  Two Manitobans, Three Jets get invited to World Juniors selection camp.  Scott has more on the big news that came from Hockey Canada yesterday.

Illegal Curve:  Coach Maurice scrum (audio).  Update on Bryan Little and Tobias Enstrom’s status.  Any theories as to why the team is better on the road than at home?  His thoughts on Hutchinson.  As a coach what is his philosophy when he has two hot goalies?  What does he attribute his team’s consistency to?  Any changes to the PP?  A different type of practice?

TSN 1290 Winnipeg:  The Big Show (audio).  Shane Hnidy explains why the Jets can’t afford to lose one of the NHL’s most underrated players.
