Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Note:  The Jets are taking their two road wins into Massachusetts for the final game of this three game road trip.  They will take on the Bruins at TD Garden Arena in Boston at 6 pm on Friday night.   As always stay tuned to the latest Jets news via our twitter account @illegalcurve.

Note II:  NHL Player Safety announced this morning that Adam Lowry will have a hearing for his hit on Patrick Kaleta last night.  According to Pierre LeBrun of ESPN the hearing will be at noon central time.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  Little making huge contributions.  Ed writes about the impact that the centre is having as he rolls along the past three games, finally being rewarded for all the effort.  In addition Ed column discusses putting the special back in special teams, a sick-bay update and both coaches discuss the Lowry hit.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Pretty not a concern as Jets subdue dull Sabres. They all can’t be Picasso’s and last night game was anything but that however the team adds two more points to their standings total.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets drop dull Sabres.  It wasn’t the most exciting of wins but a win is a win and Ken breaks it all down here for you.

Times Herald:  Sabres’ Chris Stewart finally ends long goal slum in loss.  Coincidental that the guys who scores against the Jets is the player they are rumoured (see below) to be interested in.  Read the breakdown of the Sabres loss from the opposition newspaper.

TSN:  That’s Hockey 2Nite (video).  With Ondrej Pavelec losing four of his last five starts and Michael Hutchinson winning his last four, is there officially a goalie controversy in Winnipeg? TH2N discusses. (Note: This obviously aired before last night’s win).

Sportsnet:  Jets one team looking at Stewart.  This was a late addition to yesterday’s papers so in case you missed it.  Despite not offering his brother (Anthony) a contract when the Thrashers moved to Winnipeg perhaps they are looking to make amends with his younger brother (Chris).
