Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Note:  Following a 2-2-1 road trip the Jets have the day off today as they get set to play three games at home starting tomorrow night against the Devils.  While we don’t expect it, if there is a Scheifele update you can be sure that we will have it on site.  As always stay tuned to the latest Jets news via our twitter account @illegalcurve.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets finish road trip in battle mode.  They are going to need to bring that back to the MTS Centre as it is critical for this team to start accumulating some home wins if they plan on playing in the post season.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Wild save face with OT win over Jets.  It certainly wasn’t the low scoring affair that Jets fans have been treated to of late.   As I tweeted last night, I cannot imagine many people expected the Jets to come back from a three goal deficit to the Wild in the 3rd period.

Winnipeg Sun:  Wild tame Jets.  Plenty of Jets fans in the crowd surly increased the atmosphere inside the Xcel Energy Center.  Coach Maurice didn’t have an update on the status of Mark Scheifele but that has to be a big question mark (no pun intended) for this team.

Minneapolis Star-Tribune:  Wild coughs up three-goal lead, wins in OT over Jets.  The Wild certainly have to be happy with the return of Zach Parise who scored two goals in the OT win last night.  Read the report from the other side of the press box,

Illegal Curve:  Minnesota Nice vs. Friendly Manitoba.  We have seen plenty of chatter and fights between the Jets and the Wild and last night I asked if this might be the Jets best opportunity for a real NHL rivalry.

Wild 4 Jets 3 in OT:

Coach Maurice post-game:  How does he put that game into words?  Was there a message at end of 1st or 2nd to get team back on track?  Did the chippy nature help Jets get back into game?  What did Adam Pardy give him in first game in awhile?  Any update on Scheifele?  Happy with the road trip?  Did he see the replay on the Scheifele injury?
