Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Note:  Day 11 of the Jets training camp kicks off with the playing group at the MTS Centre at 10 am and then they head to Edmonton for tonight’s game against the Oilers.  Here is today’s game roster.  The non-playing group hits the ice at noon.  Both practices are closed to the public.  Be sure to stick to @illegalcurve for all the latest news.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  When wins mean nothing.  This is more about evaluation than anything else.

Winnipeg Free Press:  New players given a chance to shine in match against Edmonton.  Coach Maurice said he needs at least 8 players with NHL experience in the roster, which can include the most recent 1st round draft pick.  So it sounds like we may see a number of young prospects in today’s roster.

Winnipeg Sun:  Paul Maurice says last two spots on Jets’ D are up for grabs.  Plenty of names in the running to be in the last pair and seventh defenceman on this team according to the coach.
