Note: Day 9 of the Jets training camp kicks off with the playing group at the MTS Centre at 10 am. Here is tonight’s roster and here is tonight’s projected Jets lineup. The non-playing group hits the ice at noon. Both practices are closed to the public. Be sure to stick to @illegalcurve for all the latest news.
Note II: Today is one of our premier shows as Illegal Curve Hockey brings you our NHL Season Preview from 9 am until 12 pm on TSN 1290 Winnipeg. We go division by division, team by team as the guys preview the 2014-15 season. Guests: Eric Duhatschek (Globe and Mail) and Kevin Allen (USA Today).
Jets news:
Winnipeg Free Press: Silent wars. The true competition at training camp is the one for those bottom spots which usually has the most competition.
Winnipeg Free Press: Dynamic Dane a happy guy. Not bad for a young guy drafted this summer to be thrown onto a line with two of the Jets leaders.
Winnipeg Sun: Tangradi ready to grind for roster spot with Jets. The Jets could use someone with his tools but can he put it all together on a consistent basis? That is a questions he’s been getting his entire career.
Winnipeg Sun: Rookie Nik Ehlers to skate on line with Ladd and Little against Wild. The rookies are certainly being given plenty of opportunities to leave their mark as Ehlers and Lowry play their third games of the pre-season.
CBC: With bag of awards, Jets goaltending prospect Hellebuyck awaits his turn. Goalies tend to develop a tad more slowly but fans I’m sure would like to see this prospect in between the pipes for some game action soon.
