The Winnipeg Jets hockey club, in conjunction with the National Hockey League, today announced that forward Mark Scheifele has been named the NHL ‘Second Star’ of the Week for the week ending Nov. 13/16.
Scheifele, 23, tallied six points (3G, 3A) in four games last week in leading the Jets to a 3-0-1 record. He had four points (2G, 2A) at home against Dallas on Nov. 8/16 in an 8-2 win before adding an assist on Nov. 10/16 at Arizona (3-2 W) and scoring the game-tying goal on Nov. 11/16 at Colorado (3-2 OTL).
