Winnipeg Jets Mark Scheifele named NHL Second Star of the Week

Mark Scheifele finished the week ending January 5th with eight points (3G 5A) which the NHL thought was good enough to earn him the 2nd Star of the Week honours. It is the seventh time in his career that Scheifele has been selected a Star of the Week:

2019-20: 2nd star
2018-19: 1st star & 2nd star x 2
2017-18: 3rd star
2016-17: 2nd star
2015-16: 2nd star

Scheifele leads the Jets in scoring with 48 points (20G 28A) and which is good enough for 12th overall in the NHL points race.
