Winnipeg Jets Mark Scheifele named NHL First Star of the Week

For the second time in his career Jets centre Mark Scheifele has been named NHL First Star of the Week. Believe it’s the first time since the 2018 season.

He had four goals and two assists for six points in two games which included a hat trick (the 10th one of his career) against his home province Leafs last Monday in the final game before the Christmas break. He’s had a very good December overall with 10 goals (so far) which ties him for the most this month in the NHL with the Oilers Zach Hyman.

I also appear on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show every Saturday on our YouTube channel as well as the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show after every single Jets game. And I occasionally jump in the play-by-play booth at Canada Life to provide colour analysis during Manitoba Moose games.
