Winnipeg Jets Mark Scheifele hits career high for points

He has been lights out this season, even more so since assuming the mantle of top centre with the injury to Bryan Little which knocked him out of the lineup for the season.

Last year in 82 games for the Jets Scheifele added 15 goals and 34 points for 49 points.  He had matched that total in 61 games this year and with an assist today in Buffalo he has now hit 50 points for the first time in his career.  He has 24 goals and 26 assists.  His shooting percentage is way up this year (13.9% vs. 8.8% last season) and he has taken more shots in 63 games in 2015-16 (173) than he did in 82 games last year (170).
