Winnipeg Jets making Heritage Classic blue steel official third jersey

Goodbye Aviator Blue, Hello Heritage Blue Steel

That was one of the big announcements today on the 40th anniversary of Dale Hawerchuk signing his first contract with the Jets 1.0. The team has put forth a number of initiatives to honour the Hall of Famer and one of the thing they announced was moving to the Heritage Blue Steel jersey as a replacement of the Aviator blue.

While the Aviator Blue surprised me in the past by how many folks loved the look, I have to believe this will be universally celebrated by Jets fans who absolutely seem to love the Heritage classic uniforms.
