Winnipeg Jets lose Dylan DeMelo to LBI in 1st period of game 1 vs Montreal

Steady blueline presence Dylan DeMelo was lost to the Winnipeg Jets in his first shift of the first period of the first game against the Habs in round 2 as the team announced he was done for the evening with a lower-body injury.

DeMelo played his first shift at the :29 second mark which ended at 1:02.  Here is a video of where it appears the injury occurred:

Tough blow for Winnipeg who began the game without Paul Stastny.

Update:

The update is that there was no update from Jets head coach Paul Maurice saying he’ll have more information tomorrow.
