With Morgan Barron and Cole Koepke back, Winnipeg has loaned Nikita Chibrikov (2021 2nd) and Brad Lambert (2022 1st) to their affiliate Manitoba. They have also loaned Parker Ford back to Manitoba even though they have the space since Haydn Fleury remains on IR.
In eight games Chibrikov finished this stretch with Winnipeg with no points while Lambert picked up his first ever NHL goal in four games. Ford played 11 games this season with one assist.
The importance for these players is they’ve spent two months with the NHL club becoming a part of the team, learning the system and getting comfortable for any recall that could come later in the season.
Now they will be back on a Manitoba team that is chugging along having won four straight games in the AHL. The Moose are next in action on Thursday night when they take on the Wolves. Puck drop is at 7 PM CST.
Talk about a deep Moose roster now. They could roll out these four lines:
Chibrikov – Ford – Lambert.
Di Giuseppe – Yager – Fagemo
Barlow – Zhilkin – JAD
Shaw – Gustafsson – Duehr
The date and opponent is now set.
