The Jets will get Kyle Connor back tonight when they take on the Islanders this evening in Winnipeg to conclude their four-game homestand according to head coach Rick Bowness who confirmed it after morning skate.

It has been a quick turnaround for Connor who suffered the injury on December 10th in Anaheim and the initial recovery expectation was 6-8 weeks. He still missed 16 games but this is definitely ahead of the initial schedule. Despite missing his firepower Winnipeg went 12-2-2 during his absence.
To make room for Connor on the roster the Jets have placed Mark Scheifele on IR retroactive to January 11th. He will be eligible to return if he is healthy on Saturday in Ottawa.
