Winnipeg Jets Kyle Connor leaves game after he takes a knee-on-knee vs Ducks

Not a great way to celebrate your 27th birthday (yesterday) as Jets winger Kyle Connor had to be helped off the ice in Anaheim after he took a knee-on-knee hit by the Ducks Ryan Strome.

When Connor finally got to his feet he had to be helped off the ice by Nikolaj Ehlers and Josh Morrissey and he didn’t put any weight on his right leg.

Good on Winnipeg alternate captain Mark Scheifele for dropping the gloves with Strome when he saw 81 hit the ice although his absence was notable during the subsequent five minute major power play.

Injury hasn’t been a factor much for Connor throughout his career.

The Jets announced that Connor was done for the night.
