For the second time in his career Jets winger Kyle Connor is heading to an NHL All-Star game as the NHL announced this afternoon that the Michigan product will be joining his teammate Connor Hellebuyck and his coach Rick Bowness in Toronto for the game on February 3rd. He replaces Connor Bedard of the Blackhawks who has a fractured jaw and is no longer participating.
It was an absolutely historic start to the 2023-24 campaign for Connor who scored 17 goals in his first 26 games for the Jets which put him on pace to crack the 50 goal plateau for the first time in his career. A knee injury on December 10th derailed his season a bit as he missed 5 weeks recovering from it.
He is back on the ice and has one goal in the two games since his return.
