Notable:
Game number 200 for Gabriel Vilardi in his young career which I learned courtesy of Mitch Clinton of the Jets.
Opening goal of the 2024-25 season goes to the captain Adam Lowry.
Mason Appleton hits the 100 point mark in his career with his assist on the opening goal and then his goal gives him 101 points.
What a game from Connor Hellebuyck who was sensational for the entire game. That was his 38th shutout.
After going without a goal all season long last year, Rasmus Kupari gets his first goal as a member of the Winnipeg Jets.
And then another player who had a goalless streak in Dylan Samberg (34 games) scored less than 20 second later to make it 4-0.
Then the PP went to work as Kyle Connor scored a historic goal as it meant he has scored in seven straight season openers. And then Mark Scheifele also scored on the PP to make it a 6-0 game.
First win for new Jets head coach Scott Arniel.
