Winnipeg Jets Joel Armia has lower body injury

22-year-old Forward Joel Armia has been a solid addition for the Winnipeg Jets since he was called up from the Manitoba Moose earlier this season but it appears he will be off the ice for about a week with a lower body injury according to Head Coach Paul Maurice.  The Jets bench boss indicated in his post skate scrum today that Armia is “Longer than day to day. Lower body.  I’m going to say it is a week before we get him back on the ice.”

In 34 games with the Jets this season, Armia has four goals and four assists.

With the injury to Armia, the Jets have called up Scott Kosmachuk who will make his NHL debut against the Predators.
