Winnipeg Jets Injury Update: Adam Lowry and Andrew Copp

While the Jets haven’t slowed down due to the absence of 2/3 of the TLC line they could certainly use Adam Lowry and Andrew Copp back in the lineup.

Copp was originally hurt back on November 23rd in Minnesota when he got taken into the curved glass near the Jets bench by J.T. Brown.  He ended up missing the next three games for Winnipeg with a concussion.  He played the first two the three games in that New York area road trip at the beginning of December and has been on the shelf since the December 2nd game against the Rangers.

Lowry has only been out since the game against the Kings in L.A. on December 18th.  The team didn’t confirm what is bothering their third line centre aside from indicating it is an upper-body injury.  He took morning skate in both San Jose and Vancouver but was held out of both games by his coach.

Coach Maurice provided an update on Saturday regarding these two indicating “our expectation is both of them will be in the lineup against Calgary” on Thursday, December 27th.  That’s good news considering the Flames lead the Pacific Division and Winnipeg can use the defensive skills of these two to limit that high powered Calgary offence.
