Prior to departing for Vancouver we get an update on the Jets injured forwards. As of this morning these are the players remaining on the injured list:
Shawn Matthias* (24 games missed) Lower Body (Indefinite) Nov. 1 vs. WSH
Joel Armia* (23 games missed) Lower Body (Indefinite) Nov. 3 at WSH
Tyler Myers* (18 games missed) Lower Body (Day-to-Day) Nov. 13 vs. LAK
Nic Petan* (10 games missed) Lower Body (Day-to-Day) Nov. 27 vs. NSH.
Updates from the coach:
On Petan/Armia/Matthias: “They’re practicing now, pretty close to what I would expect them to be able to do. Army and Matthias have been out so long it’s a longer runway. Petan, I think, probably his conditioning’s stronger and he wasn’t out for as much time.
On whether we will see any of the three play in Vancouver: “I’m not sure how they fit back in the lineup. We skate em’, they look good, they feel good, and I will talk to you tomorrow. I need a few strong days. I’ve got one guy kinda on my radar that I think is close enough that if he feels good I’ll consider him for tomorrow, but I’m not sure whether he goes in or not.”
