The Jets will be in action later tonight and they are off tomorrow (with some cuts potentially on the horizon). For now head coach Rick Bowness was asked for health updates on Nikolaj Ehlers (neck spasms) and 2023 1st rounder Colby Barlow (flu).

As per the Jets bench boss with respect to Barlow:
“Sick. Ya he’s having a tough time. He’s very congested. It’s unfortunate but he’s still not feeling very well.”
With respect to Ehlers:
“Nik’s skating today. Wednesday he’ll skate with the big groups. We were hoping to have him in these games. Obviously that’s not going to happen. We’ll have to give him a couple of days to get his legs back underneath him.”
Regarding Barlow you wonder if he would have been part of the cuts as it is expected that the guys that will be cut are the guys being sent back to their junior teams. Maybe the team keeps him to get him a game on Wednesday night before returning him to Owen Sound.
He's closing in on his first game since January 13th.
