Even though the Jets were travelling on Wednesday so it was a non-media day we did get wind of the fact that something was up as Parker Ford didn’t dress for the Moose last night in Chicago as it turned out Morgan Barron had been placed on IR. This morning the team confirmed that Ford had been recalled and that Barron was on injured reserve retroactive to January 28th.

The last shift of the game in Montreal for Barron was with 3:35 left in the game and was actually that hit he laid on Kirby Dach which the Habs forward, seemingly at the time, got the worst of. Both of his linemates (David Gustafsson & Alex Iafallo) took one more shift which was the final 46 seconds of the game.
Following morning skate in Boston this was the update from head coach Scott Arniel is that the forward is out week to week as per Mitchell Clinton and the bench boss confirmed it was the hit on Dach that led to the injury. You can see in the replay that Barron hunches over in some pain after delivering it.
In 52 games for the Jets this season he has five goals and three assists.
