While the Jets concluded the pre-Christmas scheduled with a big 5-2 win over the Leafs they didn’t escape the game completely unscathed as Haydn Fleury left the game with a lower-body injury late in the 2nd period. He was listed as day-to-day by head coach Scott Arniel after the game concluded.

Today when they took to the ice for practice he wasn’t skating with his teammates. After skate head coach Scott Arniel was asked for an update which proved rather grim. He indicated:
“I think we’re looking at week-to-week here. He’s going to get re-evaluated again. At the end of the day, right now it’s not good. He tried to skate on it this morning and it didn’t go very good.”
Fleury had gone from playing between 11-16 minutes per night to 17-22 minutes in his current role as the second pairing guy with Dylan Samberg out with a broken foot.
The Jets announced earlier in the day that they had recalled Dylan Coghlan from the Moose.
