Winnipeg Jets head coach Scott Arniel declares Neal Pionk ready to go for Vancouver

Jets defenceman Neal Pionk last played for Winnipeg back on January 13th in a game where he did not look quite right. The speculation was he sustained an injury five days earlier against the Oilers but he tried to play with whatever was ailing him.

After missing 11 games he will return to the lineup on Wednesday when the Jets begin the post-Olympic break in Vancouver. That’s according to head coach Scott Arniel who spoke today after practice and provided the update:

“He’s obviously ready to go for Vancouver which is great news”.

Of course the status of Josh Morrissey, who will miss the Gold Medal game between Canada and the United States remains uncertain.
