For the second straight practice Jets two-time Vezina winner Connor Hellebuyck wasn’t on the ice when his teammates took to it at hockey for all centre. Instead it was Eric Comrie & Kappo Kahkonen who were facing shots before the team was scheduled to leave later in the day for Edmonton to kick off the 2024-25 season.
When we heard from Jets head coach Scott Arniel after practice concluded he confirmed that Connor Hellebuyck would be making the trip with his teammates to Alberta. He said that the veteran netminder was going to jump on the ice with goalie coach Wade Flaherty to do his routine the day before a game and that he’d skate tomorrow at the morning skate in Edmonton as well.
Hellebuyck was on the ice for about 40 minutes with Moose forwards Dominic Toninato and AJF who were part of the non-playing group of players for Manitoba.
