Winnipeg Jets head coach Rick Bowness says Mark Scheifele officially out for game 5

As per Ken Wiebe of Sportsnet it is now official that there will be no 55 for game 5 according to head coach Rick Bowness who spoke today in Vegas following Jets practice.

Mark Scheifele left game 4 in Winnipeg during the 1st period when he was tripped up by the stick of goalie Laurent Brossoit and he went heavily into the boards. He came back out for one shift where he took a shot on net but winced in pain and left the ice for good.

The team didn’t skate on Tuesday but Bowness said Scheifele was “feeling better and not ruled out for Game 5”. Of course 24 hours later that is no longer the case.

Ken added that Scheifele was not ruled out of a potential game 6 (if the Jets win tomorrow).
