Winnipeg Jets head coach Rick Bowness provides update on Cole Perfetti (out minimum 8 weeks)

On Tuesday the Jets announced that 2020 1st rounder Cole Perfetti had been placed on injured reserve after he sustained an upper-body injury in the game against the Devils on Sunday. It kept him out of the game against the Rangers and obviously the one against the Islanders to conclude the four-game road trip.

Jets head coach Rick Bowness provided an update on his status saying that the rookie will be out a minimum of eight weeks. Said it wasn’t same injury as last season. It won’t require surgery. Said it occurred in the New Jersey game.

Tough news about the talented winger who is in his first full season up with the Jets. In 51 games he has eight goals and 22 assists for 30 points which is third in NHL rookie scoring.
