Fresh off signing his first NHL contract 2023 1st rounder Colby Barlow wasn’t on the ice today for day 3 of camp. Turns out he is dealing with the flu according to head coach Rick Bowness.

The more significant update was with respect to Nikolaj Ehlers who left the ice early on Thursday and was held off of it today for precautionary reasons. Yesterday Rick Bowness said they hoped he be good to skate on Saturday.
Today he was asked for an update on the dynamic winger.
“Very, very doubtful that Nik will skate tomorrow again. There’s no sense rushing him back and just keep aggravating this thing. We want to get rid of it now.”
Asked if there was any concern about this situation Bowness reiterated
“No. It’s just some spasms. Could he skate? Yah. But why bother. It’s going to act up again and we’re going to deal with this for a week. We want to get this resolved now.”
