With all the uncertainty surrounding the start of the 2020-21 NHL season the Jets have announced via their PR that they have:

“loaned defenceman Ville Heinola to Rauman Lukko for the beginning of the 2020-21 Liiga season. Under the parameters of the agreement with Rauman Lukko, Heinola will return when the 2020-21 season begins in North America.”

Heinola made the Jets out of training camp in 2019-20 before being assigned to the Moose of the AHL where he played three games before returning home to Finland to play out the remainder of the season with Rauman Lukko.

Suspect we could see more moves like this.

I also appear on the Illegal Curve Hockey Show every Saturday on our YouTube channel as well as the Illegal Curve Post-Game Show after every single Jets game. And I occasionally jump in the play-by-play booth at Canada Life to provide colour analysis during Manitoba Moose games.
