Winnipeg Jets have a new motto for the 2017-18 season: Rise Together

A new season and a new motto for the Winnipeg Jets this season as the team looks to get back into the playoffs and make some noise for the 2017-18 season.  The Jets write on their web site “Our team has been built with patience and purpose. Ready to compete, ready to excel, ready to emerge.”.  With young players like Scheifele, Laine, Ehlers, Trouba, Morrissey and up-and-comers like Connor and Roslovic mixed with a solid veteran core, this certainly seems to be the case.

Team captain Blake Wheeler tweeted about it today:

Here is the Jets Rise Together video:

So will this new “altitude” (Jets pun, not mine) unite the city and help this team get to that next level? With training camp and pre-season around the corner we are about to find out.
