Winnipeg Jets goalie prospect Domenic DiVincentiis named Goaltender of the Year in the OHL

The future of Jets goaltending is looking bright courtesy of 2022 7th rounder Domenic Divincentiis who was named the receipiet of the Jim Rutherford Trophy awarded for the Goaltender of the Year.

Here is the video from the OHL:

This was voted on by the league’s GMs. He set new records for his North Bay Battalion in wins (36), GAA (2.33) and a save% (.919) and he tied for most shutouts (5) in the league. Was named OHL Goalie of the month in January and March.

He becomes first goalie in North Bay history to win this award.

He and his North Bay Battalion teammates evened their series with a 3-1 win over the Petes last night in the Eastern Final. He stopped 26 of 27 shots he faced. Series shifts to Peterborough for game 3 on Tuesday.
