The Jets added some organizational depth in net on Wednesday when they announced that they had signed goalie Evan Cormier to a one-year, two-way deal. This is simply a repeat of a move that they’ve done the last few years ahead of trade deadline to ensure organizational depth.
He had to pass through waivers and according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet he has done so and can be assigned by Winnipeg.
Given Holm and Salminen are the tandem in the AHL with the Moose I suspect that Cormier will remain with the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL.
