Winnipeg Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff discussing the seven-year extensions for Hellebuyck & Scheifele

There was nary a whisper that these two identical seven-year contract extensions were set to be signed by top Jets centre Mark Scheifele and top netminder Connor Hellebuyck. GM Kevin Cheveldayoff who has been tied to these players since they were drafted by the organization spoke about what it means for this franchise and city that they were able to retain these two key pieces.
