Winnipeg Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff a finalist for GM of the Year

Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff is busy watching his team play in the Western Conference Final for the first time ever, a team that is seen as a legitimate Stanley Cup contender.  Today the NHL has announced that he, along with Tampa Bay GM Steve Yzerman and Vegas GM George McPhee, are the three finalists for GM of the Year.

Via Wikipedia:

It is determined by “a 41-member panel that included all 31 general managers, five NHL executives and five media members.”

Last year, Nashville GM David Poile won.
