The Kings take advantage of Jets miscues, lock it down after that and show why they only have four regulation losses at home. Winnipeg falls to 51-20-4 on the season although, despite the loss, they remain in top spot in the NHL. Of course the Stars are just four points back with a game in hand for top spot in the Central which is more important than the Presidents’ Trophy.

Notable:
Two Kings goals in 1:22 gives home team a 2-0 lead over the visitors which saw them open the scoring at the 8:28 mark and then a miscue by David Gustafsson in the neutral zone allowed a quick strike second goal by them.
Things looked better for the Jets in the middle frame including a solid PK followed by a nice block by Morgan Barron who fed Cole Perfetti who was in the box (for Connor Hellebuyck) and he fired home his 17th goal of the season to cut the deficit to one goal.
But for the second time the Jets lost a puck in the neutral zone and got burned by it. Logan Stanley trying to channel his inner Cale Makar but doesn’t quite get it to go. Kuzmenko made it a 3-1 game.
An empty netter made it a 4-1 game.
Multi Point Game:
