Winnipeg Jets Gabriel Vilardi will not return to tonight’s game due to a lower body injury

The Jets were flying in the opening period of the game this evening against the visiting Kings, a game that had a lot more meaning than a regular Tuesday night game, given that it was the return of Pierre-Luc Dubois and the three ex-Kings were facing off against their former team for the first time.

Things were going well for the home team until Gabe Vilardi got tied up with his former teammate and went down awkwardly. Here is the video if you didn’t see it.

The Jets announced he would not return to the game with a lower-body injury.

Update:

Jets head coach Rick Bowness after the game didn’t have much of an update other than saying he would be “reevaluated in the morning”.
