Winnipeg Jets forwards Cole Koepke and Morgan Barron listed as day-to-day

Jets forward Cole Koepke missed his club’s last game against the Ducks in Anaheim on Sunday night. Head coach Scott Arniel wasn’t asked for an update after the game on the status of the player, who has become a key part of the penalty kill.

Following the morning skate in Vancouver, head coach Scott Arniel was asked by Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Free Press for an update on the Minnesota product, who skated today but in a yellow non-contact jersey. Ken reported that Koepke apparently got banged up in the game against the Sharks and is listed as day-to-day.

In 14 games this season he has two assists.

The bigger news is that Morgan Barron, who eight days ago was labelled as week-to-week by Arniel, is now day-to-day according to Wieber (via the head coach). That’s good news for the team who could use the big centre in their lineup.
