Winnipeg Jets fail to play to their standard falling 5-2 to the Utah HC in their first ever visit to Salt Lake City

The Jets tried to mount a comeback but it was too little too late and they dropped their second second straight game as they lose their first game in Utah by a final score of 5-2. The passing was atrocious for almost the entire game and they just didn’t play the brand of hockey we’ve come to recognize as “Jets hockey” which cost them a victory and they fell to 31-14-3 on the season.

Notable:

It’s game number 750 in the NHL for Jets captain Adam Lowry. Not too shabby for the 2011 3rd rounder.

Here was the play from the 1st period where Jets captain Adam Lowry slid into the boards. He did play after this happened but wouldn’t return for the 2nd or 3rd periods. Head coach Scott Arniel didn’t have an update on him after the game.

We learn from a chat between play-by-play voice Dan Robertson and Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff that there haven’t been any sit down negotiations between the general manager and any of his UFA/RFAs.

Multipoint Game:
