Winnipeg Jets defence decimated by injuries

Following the good feeling of winning their first game of this home stand the Jets delivered some bad news today following practice.  Coach Maurice announced that Zach Bogosian will be out 4-6 weeks, Toby Enstrom is out for the month of December and Grant Clitsome is out for 2 more weeks.

Look like Dustin Byfuglien will be heading back to defence and I’m sure a few more moves will have to be made to help solidify the Jets on the back end.  Reminder that coach Maurice, when asked about Keaton Ellerby yesterday (with respect to bringing up Chiarot), said that he was injured.

So it leaves the Jets with the following pairs:

Trouba/Stuart
Byfuglien/Chiarot
Postma/Pardy

Available IceCaps defencemen:  Julien Brouillette, Brenden Kichton, Will O’Neill, Julian Melchiori,  Mike Cornell.

Update:  Jets have called up Julien Brouillette from St. John’s.
