Winnipeg Jets David Gustafsson is being evaluated and won’t play against Coyotes

The Jets lost David Gustafsson after the 1st period in yesterday afternoon’s game in Vegas. He wasn’t participating in today’s practice in Arizona as the team prepared for their next game.

When interim head coach Dave Lowry spoke following practice he indicated that Gustafsson is being evaluated and that he will not be a player tomorrow night against the Coyotes.

Tough news for the Jets 2018 2nd rounder who has been injured in both games he has played this season.

Lowry did not provide any insight into who will take the spot in the lineup. He could use Suess or Perfetti who both play centre, he could insert Evgeny Svechnikov in Harkins spot and play Harkins at centre or move Toninato to the middle. Will have to wait and see what happens at morning skate tomorrow.
