Winnipeg Jets coach Scott Arniel says Neal Pionk out week-to-week

Jets defenceman Neal Pionk missed both days of practice and wasn’t on the ice for morning skate today as his team gets set for the Stars. Now we got wind that the news might not be good as Murat Ates of The Athletic Winnipeg tweeted that he expected the news to be week-to-week on the right-side defender.

Today following skate we heard from head coach Scott Arniel who indicated Pionk is out week-to-week with a lower-body injury. He said it was something that had been present and Pionk was playing through but they didn’t want it to get worse so they are getting ahead of it.

Tough news for the Minnesotan.
