Before the Jets took to the ice in Boston this morning to practice as they prepared to face the Bruins we heard via Mitchell Clinton that Mark Scheifele was taking a twirl in a yellow, non-contact jersey. He has been out of the lineup since he left the game on January 11th in the 2nd period which was labelled the following morning as “day-to-day“.

Ten days and three games later Rick Bowness was asked for an update today at TD Garden Centre
“He said he felt good today so he’ll have another light skate tomorrow. He’s still a few days away at least. So he’s not playing tomorrow. He’ll probably skate again Tuesday when we go to Toronto and we’ll go from there. But he’s missed ten days now and it was just a light skate today so we’ll see.”
Next up will be the Leafs which is on Wednesday the 24th so we shall see if he’s ready. Of course it seems likely they won’t rush him and maybe they wil hold off until the game back in Winnipeg on Saturday the 27th.
