Winnipeg Jets coach Rick Bowness indicates Cole Perfetti will be re-evaluated in the morning

Been lots of talk about Cole Perfetti as he looks to secure the role of second line centre with the Jets.

This evening in Winnipeg late in the 2nd period he took a blindside hit by the Flames Martin Pospisil which resulted in the Calgary player being ejected from the game.

Here was the hit:

Interestingly these two have a past history:

Jets bench boss Rick Bowness was asked for an update following the 3-2 shootout loss. After calling it a cheap shot and saying the refs got it right he indicated:

“He will be re-evaluated in the morning”.

So the update will have to come on Thursday.

As per Connor Hrabchak of The Hockey Writers there was further clarity from Jets PR after Rick Bowness spoke indicating that Perfetti was pulled for precautionary reasons and that he is not in concussion protocol.
