With the playing group not skating today as they will instead just jet off to Ottawa there was just one big group on the ice today at the Hockey For All Centre which was mostly made up of veterans.
Two players who weren’t part of the skate on Thursday but skated today with the big group were Cole Perfetti and Nikolaj Ehlers, who ditched the yellow non-contact jersey he wore yesterday for a regular one today.

Over on the other rink there were four players skating in Mason Appleton, Nate Schmidt, Colby Barlow (illness) and Henri Nikkanen as per Mitchell Clinton of the Jets.
After skate concluded we spoke with Jets head coach Rick Bowness who provided the following updates:
Mason Appleton: “Well Apple, Appleton didn’t skate with us obviously but he thinks he’ll be ready to go for Monday so he should be on the ice with us tomorrow.”
Nate Schmidt: “Same with Nate Schmidt. He should be on the ice with us tomorrow.”
Nikolaj Ehlers: “Ehlers still feeling a little bit but he should be cleared to play on Monday.”
Cole Perfetti: “Cole obviously skating out there so we’re getting there.”
