Winnipeg Jets coach confirms Ville Heinola had successful surgery

Jets coach Rick Bowness had said that there were a few different options when he addressed the injury that Ville Heinola suffered in the final exhibition game of the pre-season last week in Winnipeg.

Today after skate Rick Bowness was asked for an update.

“He had surgery and it went very well.”

Asked if it changes the timeline:

“You’re gonna get eight (8) weeks and then you’re gonna be everyday ‘What’s Ville Ville’. It’s going to be a minimum of eight weeks and then we’ll start addressing it again then.”
