Who says you can’t go home? Forward (and Winnipegger) Adam Brooks will get that chance as he was claimed off waivers by Winnipeg today from the Leafs who recently claimed him from the Golden Knights.
He was drafted in the 4th round back in 2016 by Toronto and has spent much of his time as a pro with the Marlies. He does have 29 NHL games under his belt with six goals and five assists.
Talk about a wild 2021-22 campaign:
Placed on waivers by Leafs on Oct 10th
Claimed by Habs on Oct 11th
Put on waivers by Montreal on Nov 16th
Claimed by Golden Knights on Nov 17th
Put on waivers by Vegas on Feb 15th
Claimed by Leafs on Feb 16th
Put on waivers by Toronto on Feb 17th
Claimed today by the Jets.
With injuries to Andrew Copp and Cole Perfetti and with Nikolaj Ehlers not close and David Gustafsson needing time in the AHL this move makes a lot of sense.
