Winnipeg Jets captain Blake Wheeler has cleared NHL COVID protocols; will practice with team today

Jets head coach Paul Maurice indicated in his post-game comments last night that it would be a possibility that captain Blake Wheeler could be on the ice today in Anaheim for practice with the team.

As per Jamie Thomas of JetsTV that will be a reality as he tweeted out this in advance of the 2 PM CDT practice:

Wheeler has cleared NHL COVID protocols and is at the Honda Center and will practice with the team today.

That’s good news for the Jets who have been without number 26 since after the second game of the season.
