Winnipeg Jets assign Parker Ford to the Moose; training camp at 27

One more name heading to the Moose as the Jets announce that Parker Ford has been assigned which reduces the training camp numbers to 27 players left.

Ford has had an excellent training camp but this move was expected as he is waiver exempt and could use some more seasoning in the AHL. He was leading the team in pre-season points (1G 4A).

The Jets will still have to get down to 23 players to be roster compliant.

Given the injury to Ville Heinola, the likelihood they waive Collin Delia and could have Kyle Capobianco on IR it would necessitate one more move which would likely be Axel Jonsson-Fjallby.

Of course we will have to wait and see what Winnipeg does. They have until Monday, October 9th to decide.
