Winnipeg Jets Afternoon News (Monday, Dec 19th)

Note:  More autograph signing news.  Nik Antropov will be at at the Mercedes Benz dealership 2554 Portage Ave tonight from 6-8 pm.  As we already mentioned Evander Kane will be helping out Winnipeg Harvest on Wednesday from 5-7pm at Murray Chevrolet 1700 Waverley.  Ondrej Pavelec will be at Jim Gauthier GMC 2400 Mcphillips also from 5-7 pm on Wednesday.

CTV:  Jets fan takes fight online after being sold stolen tickets.  Buyer beware unfortunately is what this guy learned.  The lack of a license plate is one indication that the seller didn’t have a great amount of respect for the law.

Portage Daily Graphic:  Donate blood, win Jets tickets.   Anyone who attends a blood donor clinic in Manitoba between Boxing Day and Jan. 7 is entered to win, no donation required.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Miettenen in, Little out at Jets practice.  So the GST line is now the MSG line.  That doesn’t sound healthy.  The GST chanting at the games have become legendary.  Hopefully Thorburn gets some goals and earns his way back onto the 3rd line.

the Score:  Chris Mason is about to wear the coolest pads in NHL goaltending history.  Pretty sweet looking pads.  What do you guys think?

Winnipeg Sun:  Jets re-assign Jaffray.  He was very good for the Jets in the role he was asked to play but will be better getting big minutes playing with the IceCaps as they continue to roll along in the AHL.

NYI Official Site:  Hamonic returns to Winnipeg.  While all these Manitoba born kids get to play meaningful NHL hockey in front of family and friends, it can get quite pricey when you are having to dish out tickets to the hottest event in the city.
