Winnipeg Jets Afternoon News (Thursday, Dec 8th)

Winnipeg Free Press:  Antropov may return to ice Friday.  While the Jets have been playing well they could use the big Russian center on the ice, instead of being up in the press box.

Winnipeg Sun:  Mason to get call against Hurricanes.  Coach Noel wants to give Mason a chance to experience some of the excitement of the home crowd. 

Jets Site:  A special visit.  Quite incredible what a visit from the players can do to lift the spirits of these young kids.

Jets Nation:  Don’t look now, Jets within striking distance.  It shall be interesting to see where this team will be in the standings at the end of this long homestand.  Will it be enough to make a serious playoff push or will it just keep them out of the running for Nail Yakupov.

Illegal Curve:  Jets audio.  The Jets had an up tempo practice today at the MTS Iceplex.  Fehr & Hainsey were not on the ice.  Enstrom was in a red practice jersey.  Scrums with Kane, Mason, Wellwood, Ladd, Antropov and coach Noel.
