Winnipeg Jets Afternoon News (Saturday, Dec 3rd)

Winnipeg Free Press:  Pavelec pumped — about Euro.  Not a surprise that the Czech netminder is pumped about the national team as many of the European and Russian players are passionate about soccer.

Globe and Mail:  Easy win for Jets if they can handle Kovalchuk.  From what the Devils media has been writing it has been up and down for the enigmatic Russian superstar.

Winnipeg Free Press:  Jets gear up to face Devils tonight.  By the end of this month you might actually see the Jets team that you were slated to see at the beginning of the season as players are starting to get healthier.

Winnipeg Sun:  Jaffray – keep the boos coming.  If the fans needed to know what the players thought of the boo birds they have rained down on opposing teams, read this article.

Winnipeg Sun:  The Devil(s) come to town.  Will David Puddy be in attendance?  Gotta support the team.

CBC:  Jets host Devils after emotional win over Coyotes.  Tonight’s game will be a big test for the Jets.  Can they follow-up the emotional win over the Coyotes with a win over a Devils team that played (and lost) last night in Minnesota?

Winnipeg Free Press:  Busting loose.  Kane has been hands down the most dangerous Jets forward on the ice.  If he plays smart hockey, there really aren’t many limits to his game.

Jets next opposition news – New Jersey Devils:

Star-Ledger:  Moose returns to Winnipeg.  The mild mannered tender returns to the city.  While I don’t think he will get a standing ‘O’, it will be interesting to see how fans react to him when he is between the pipes.
